Our Summer Family Photos | Hensel Family Summer 2022

In early August, Paul and I, and our kids, traveled to a charming town in northern Michigan. We have vacationed in Charlevoix since the girls were babies and always loved the area. While most of those years we camped in a state park on Lake Charlevoix, we later sold our camper and started renting a house downtown within walking distance to Lake Michigan. For a few years, we rented the same charming cottage. As our family grew with marriages and grandchildren, we since grew out of the home we loved so much.

It’s been a few years since we visited Charlevoix, as life gets busy with weddings and babies, and Covid striking didn’t help. Our family created many memories while in Charlevoix, so we knew it was the perfect place to vacation as a family this summer. The house we rented this year was much grander than in previous years, considering we had many more loved ones to fill the home. The place was just as perfect as the Cozy Clinton Cottage we once rented. We named the new place Nichol’s Nest because it’s located on Nichol’s St. We hope to revisit it in the future.

Our vacation to Charlevoix was nothing short of a good time, combined with adventure and relaxation. We ended our trip with a family photo shoot with a backdrop of the most beautiful sunset on Lake Michigan.

I hope you enjoy!

This video displays only a few photos from the gallery. More family pictures are on my Instagram, Stories highlight titled ‘Fam Photo Shoot,’ and my Facebook. I still have more to publish, so keep watching.
