Whether it’s a camisole, tank, dress or a tee, there is no question ‘Criss-Cross is a Hot Trend’. You see it everywhere. V-shaped necklines are my most flattering cut vs. crew or scoop-neck. I love the Criss-Cross look because it’s a fun way to play up the simple v-neck. I linked several different styles and options here:

THE FRONT TUCK: How to tuck your shirt like a Street Style Pro
I like to call this fashion tip, ‘Business in the front, party in the back.” This tuck is the perfect option for defining your waist a little more without making it the focal point.
Step one – start with a slightly looser to very loose top (this will not work on a fitted top). The Black Criss-Cross that I am wearing is barely workable for this, but as you can see, I was able to accomplish the look.
Step Two – Halfway between your hip bone and navel, pinch a small section of the shirt and push it into the waistband
Step Three – Pull the sides down so they fall out over the waistband. This does not have to look perfect. The top that I am wearing is not the best example to show this. Bear in mind, different lengths of shirts will have different outcomes to the look. Check out this post, here, here and here for another example of the tuck.
Final – Styling Tip: Elevate this laidback look with a pair of strappy sandals.

atGirl you were rockin’ this outfit Friday evening! Looked great on you. Love that criss cross cami and I think I will be ordering it. I love the tucked in look but what do you suggest when you don’t have the flats abs and you have a pooch? I’m always self conscious with the tuck although love the style♥
atThanks Keri! I know the pooch all too well. It doesn’t matter how leani get, the pooch is hear to stay. I think that is what I love about the ‘tuck’. It allows you to get away with a little elbow room … the key is blousing it out at the sides. You will have to play with it until you get the look your trying to achieve and one that does not draw emphasis to that darn pooch!!! Keep me posted on how it works for you!
