March Favorites

Through YouTube, I have always enjoyed watching the beauty guru’s share their monthly favorites. I let that be my inspiration for today’s blog post. If you guys enjoy hearing other women’s monthly favorites like I do, I hope you give me some feedback, and I will be happy to add it to my monthly blog posts. I didn’t want to limit this post to beauty ‘only’ products, however. I wanted to add in fashion, accessories or anything else that I have been loving throughout the past month. I want to have the freedom to make it be whatever I would like. It could be a song, a recipe, or anything that I just continue to enjoy throughout that whole month. Let’s jump right in and see what my ‘March Favorites’ were:

March Favorites

1. Blush Brush

I know I have talked obsessively about this Real Techniques Blush Brush , but I am not about to apologize for it. This brush is the bomb. I LOVE it! I am picking up another one this weekend when I am doing some grocery shopping at Walmart. I would be sadly disappointed to be left without it.

2. False Lashes

Oh, these lashes!!! Again, this is another one of those items that if you watch the guru’s on Youtube, you are aware of the Red Cherry Lashes #43, cult-following. I think they are everyone’s favorite lashes. I know there’s a lot of hype over products on Youtube. I am always a skeptic, which is why I never purchased these beauties. That being said, I fell in love with these babies, quite by accident. A subscriber, who has become quite a dear friend to me, sent me these lashes. I didn’t even try them until I had already had them for a good six weeks. But once I did, WOW! WOW! Yes WOW! I am hooked! These lashes are everything and more that they are cracked up to be. I will be re-purchasing these lashes, as long as I can get my hands on them. I also will be sick if they ever get discontinued. At some point, I need to do a stock up, just to be safe.

3. Nailpolish

Although I have only wore this O.P.I. Let’s Be Friends Nail Lacquer once, it certainly will be a repeat. There are plenty of blush-pink polishes out there, but none of the ones I have worn in the past seem to top this shade. It definitely is a cool-toned shade, and that is what I look best in. This polish is also in my blog post Favorite 5 Spring Nail Polish Colors, along with some other spring beauties.

4. Fragrance

This fragrance Miu Miu screams ME! Playful, energetic, mysterious, a little sass & attitude, confidence … I don’t know! Love at first SMELL! We were meant to be! This fragrance is so awesome, it deserved its own Blog Post. Check it out!

5. Jewelry

I have no shame in the fact that I have been wearing these bracelets with EVERYTHING! My girls even ask, “Mom, do you ever take those bracelets off?” NO, I don’t! They are obviously a high-purchased item, as they go in and out of stock at Nordstrom. I have linked some very similar ones from Baublebar that launched after this particular set. I don’t always wear each bracelet all together. Sometimes I divide them up and pair them with other bracelets. I think that is what makes them so versatile and appealing. You can do so much with them … worth the splurge. They are also a huge compliment receiver. You can see this bracelet set (together or separated) in pretty much all of my recent outfit posts. Here is one Post in particular.

Baublebar options: Maldives / Maceio / .. looking for a budget-friendly set, I just purchase this set here from H & M. I am wearing them in this blog post and you will see them in Monday’s blog post, as well. Here is another set from Forever21 and this set here from another store

6. Clothing

This top! Ohhhh, this top! Another compliment receiver. I cannot even tell you how many compliments I have received the three times I have worn this blouse over the past month. I gave up counting! By far, this was my favorite look during the month of March. I am wearing a size 4. Don’t miss out on this show-stopper. You can see more of this blouse, in this post here and here.

7.  Shoes + A Bonus Pair

No surprise these two awesome spring sandals (Espadrille + Bootie) made the cut, is it? How many times have you seen me snap about these on Snapchat? I love them both! Like my children, I cannot give more love to one over the other. They both deserve the shout-out! One is ‘save’, while the other is ‘splurge’.

8. Food

Alright, I’m back on the Quinoa train. For my first meal of the day, I go back and forth between my ‘eggs + avocado on toasted Ezekiel English Muffin’, and my quinoa concoction. But clearly, I have been giving love to the quinoa this month. I had to throw it in my favorites because I get pleasure from food. Every morning, like clock-work, this hearty porridge brings me great pleasure.

A few weeks ago I picked up the Real Techniques Blush Brush while I was in Ulta. I using it in the way that you recommended – by tapping rather than swiping the blush on. I also got the Mally Evercolor Poreless Face Defender. & Miu Miu is a delightful fragrance. Tracy, you are a source of inspiration for beauty & faith.

Do you have a recipe for how you prepare your Quinoa?? I’d love to hear it.

    • Reply tracyhensel

Rebecca, I’m sorry, I don’t have it on the blog, yet. It will probably be another month or so before I do. Just a few days ago, however, I snapped the entire recipe and how to make it. I recommend that you screenshot those opportunities, when they arise. Maybe you weren’t on that day …but it was detail for detail and also included the entire macronutrient breakdown of carbs, fats, protein, sugar and fiber. It’s good stuff! Have a great evening! Hope your ‘IF’ is going well for you!! xx

Hi Tracy. Did you ever post the quinoa recipe? I don’t have Snapchat or Instagram. Thanks. I’m really enjoying your videos. You are so motivating and inspirational!

Tracy you really look stunning in the INC foral cold shoulder top! Your lip color with the top is the bomb and pulls it together. The colors of the floral design are so stingy!!!
