Outfit of the Day

Hello everyone and welcome to the weekend! I hope you got the chance to catch up on some shut-eye this morning. Afterall, that’s what lazy Saturday mornings are for. The coffee is sure hitting the spot over here at the Hensel Household. Well, at least for me it is. The hubby was offered some O-T. And, with the expense of a family our size, that’s hard to pass up. I hope all of you had a nice week, as well. It was quite the crazy one here with the winter storm and the kids having three days of school called off. Seems strange that tomorrow is supposed to be in the mid-50’s. But that’s how Michigan weather works. I’m not complaining. My wardrobe is ready for spring. We also had a birthday thrown in this week. Thursday, was my third daughter, McKenna’s Birthday. She turned 17. I know it’s cliché, but where does the time go? My girls are growing up so fast. No real big plans for us, this weekend. Chloe has an Upward Basketball Game today, it’s her snack day, as well as crazy hair day. Too funny! Grandma Wendy (my mom) is planning on coming in to watch it. We have church on Sunday and then daughter’s number 2 & 3 (Haley & McKenna) fly out Sunday evening to Florida. They are spending a few days with their Grandma & Papa (My husband’s parents). Please pray for safe travels for my girls. There’s always that little uncertainty when your kids are flying without mom and dad. My girls are very independant and self-sufficient, so all should go well. Their Grandma & Papa are so excited to see them.

Outfit of The Day
Outfit of The DayToday’s outfit post was definitely not planned. We were getting ready to head out to dinner as a family, for my daughter’s birthday. My husband got out of work early and we were waiting around for a couple of the girls to finish getting ready. I asked him if he wanted to step out on the street in front of our house and take a few photos. I wasn’t planning on doing an outfit post. I just thought I could throw the photos on instagram. Well it was absolutely beautiful out, and the pictures were too lovely a background not to put on the blog. I am always cold, so I wear this cardigan-duster year round. I was so glad to see that forever 21 still carried it. This handbag is new and I just love it for spring. The weave detail gives it that spring-summer vibe. I linked everything below and added in some similar options for the items that are no longer available. Have a nice weekend!

Outfit of The DaySWEATER (DUSTER): Forever 21 , but I also love this ribbed one, here, because I am a pocket’s type of girl. This hooded one here, is cute too. If you like a slightly shorter version, this one here is a steal at $12.99 |  BLACK SKINNIES: herehere and here. A box came yesterday that I haven’t opened yet, but it may be these here. I’ll keep ya posted. WHITE V-NECK CAMI or Tee: mine is sold out, love this one here (but may want to size up), this one here would be great layered, and is only $9.99 or better yet, get this similar one here, clearanced for $4.99 | HANDBAG: Steve Madden, love this one here, as well in the same color and price. Less expensive options from Target, herehere and here | BOOTIES: these are my daughters ‘Steve Madden’s’, I couldn’t find the exact pair, but I linked ‘affordable’ ones I think are cute herehere and here. I Love the Open-toe bootie trend for spring. If my husband gave the green light, hands down I’d be purchasing either these, here or these beauties | TURQUOISE JEWELRY: NECKLACE: mine is old from T.J. Maxx, similar styles hereherehere, and love this layered one for spring/summer, here / EARRINGS: love these / BRACELETS: this one here and here are showstoppers | EYE SHADOW PALETTE: Laura Mercier Sleek & Chic | BLUSH: Chanel Rose | LIPSTICK: Dior #430 Radiuse from Limited Edition Holiday 2015

Tracy, this morning’s blog was a good read while we are enjoying our coffee & juice! We (my husband & I} read the Bible together & pray together each morning. My “Tracy Read” was included today. Our 7 year old grandson Rowan has his UPWARD Basketball game today. Those games are so sweet & fun to watch, can’t wait! Have a blessed day!

Thanks for sharing, Lucy! I love that you & your husband read the bible + pray together. You know what they say, “Couples that pray together, stay together!” I am humbled that the ‘Tracy Read’ got squeezed in with your coffee & juice. Enjoy your grandson’s game. Upwards is a super program for our youth. Have a blessed + beautiful weekend! xx
